So Modi ji, I am not a black money hoarder and I am suffering. I say this because my friend just exchanged his 5 lakh rupees in a local bank where he happened to know the manager who in turn helped him get a phoney ID proof on which he got his bills exchanged.
And I am standing in a queue daily to withdraw petty 2000 rupees which are my hard earned money without any success. Finally today my last 500 bucks got finished and trust me I had never seen a day without money in my wallet till this day. I had to ask my grocery walla to lend me grocery on credit which again I have never done till date. I felt poor. And it finally hit me hard what being poor is. Being poor is actually a state of no money. Or maybe having money but being forced against withdrawing it. Being forced against spending it however I want. Being forced against circulating it wherever I want. WHY is what I seek.
Saheb, don't get me wrong. I am equally a patriot rather more when compared to those blind Bhakts of yours who equate standing in ATM queu to supporting the poor Indian army fighting on border. HOW, I question. I am sure poor armymen's family are more distraught for they have no man to rush in search of ATM dispensing money or standing in a day long queu in a bank.
My mornings are not so fresh anymore. No please don't misunderstand it with my bouts of constipation. It is because all I read in newspapers is the plight and suffering of small traders, roadside vendors, rural farmers and innocent shopkeepers. Their conditions have become worst than Amir Khan in Lagan for there is not a silver lining anywhere in sight. Saheb you tell us to have faith but trust me I am not in a condition to buy incense sticks to pray for faith. I can no longer give the urchin hopping around my car a tenner for I know not when will my chance come to withdraw next.
Your andh bhakts are staring at the sky like a chatak little in the know that it is raining in select parts of India and their fair share still is condensing in Swiss banks. What is out is a drop at the sight of which they start dancing.
Modi saheb, the step was bold but if you do not do something to offset the loss of life, business, employment, labor, it might a clean bold soon. While the select few are still spending in lakhs with nothing to worry about, majority of commoners have to take directive from you on how to spend their own money. Every evening ATM's shut for calibration, the 2000 notes are not out yet, lines are never ending outside banks, when is everything going to settle down. Yes, you created a furore but at what cost. I tell my niece to look around while walking to be safe. You sir, hit every pedestrian with certain conviction of sight. We as a clan are more than happy to have been noticed irrespective of the difficulties. Because in a true sense after Indira Gandhi you are the first one who creates this uproar which permeates down to the lowest level of existence.
Wah Modi Saheb wah!! You know you are so much like my chairman. No no....he was never achai Wallah and his wife still stays with him. But there are times when just because it popped out of his mouth it has to translate into reality regardless of the consequences. At such a macro level why could not you have taken sufficient measures to curb the chaos that ensues. What ever happened to the leadership vision and foresight which could, if nnot prevent, have eased the burden on the poor shoulders which tow the load of your growing economy.
Well, no don't look at me with that dagger in your eyes stare. I know your might and my plight. Any which ways I was just going out again at this hour to try my luck on some ATM that might still be working away from the prying eyes. And sorry if I have irked you, whatever you are doing must be damn good because you have been hailed as the next Lee Kwan Yew.
Well said Prachika. You have voiced the feelings and plight of countless men and women of our Bharat Mahan! Sadly, all this goes unnoticed by our great leaders and "Andh Bhakts." Or is it that these so called patriots know the reality but are afraid of being kicked out of the bandwagon and labelled as traitors? Times are such and you have aptly pointed out the similarity.
ReplyDeleteHope your grocery wallah continues to give you what you need on credit till you find an ATM that will dispense cash. Meanwhile, continue writing such posts.
